We are having an Almat ‘Meet ‘n’ Greet’
day.
Can you make it on Thursday
the 22nd December?
As all members of Almat Flying Club share a common interest
and passion, wouldn’t it be a good idea to meet
other members of the club? Certainly as one of the Instructors
since April I have had the pleasure of meeting a few
club members, but there are many more whom I haven’t
met, and I would hazard a guess that many other club
members have had a similar experience.
The whole idea behind the ‘Meet
‘n’ Greet’ day is to afford the opportunity
for the club as a whole to come together:
- To talk
- To share experiences
- To socialise.
Not only that however! It is the shortest
day of the year, so let’s celebrate that too.
The Clubhouse will be open for flying
as usual from 09.30 where mince pies will be on offer,
and then here will be a site-move to the Oak where you
can share a beer or two (mine’s a Bombardier!!!),
or a glass of wine. And to complete the picture, why
not bring your partner and family. The Oak has a very
family friendly outlook.
Having taken on the role of social
organiser at the last instructors meeting, I shall give
it my best shot, but to make any real impact I need
your help. Perhaps this occasion can also be used provide
a range of ideas for future events.
It is your flying club, but perhaps
it can be more than that. I will be there on the 22nd,
along with the other instructors and the Operations
Staff. I really hope you will be there too, but if not:
Have a MERRY
CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
