Almat Profile
History
Welcome
to the world of aviation and in particular, Almat Flying
Club (AFC) which accommodates the West Midlands Police
Flying Club (WFPFC). Based at Coventry Airport since
1991 we were originally associated to the well established
Coventry Aeroplane Club (CAC) whose premises we used
and who provided us with examiners for our flying tests.
In January 1998 we moved to our own premises on the
airfield and operate a small, friendly club, with a
relaxed atmosphere, offering professional training.
Services
The club offers flying training for a full JAR
private pilot licence, UK National Private Pilots Licence
(NPPL), Instrumental Meteorological Conditions (IMC)
Rating, Multi Engine Piston (MEP) training and Night
Rating. Also available is a safety pilot course and
basic radio navigation. We have instructors/examiners
available, approved by the Civil Aviation Authority,
to conduct the written and flying test requirements.
Their supervision ensures that you will receive the
highest standard of instruction.
