Almat Profile

History
Welcome to the world of aviation and in particular, Almat Aviation which accommodates the West Midlands Police Flying Club (WFPFC). Based at Coventry Airport since 1991 (as Almat Flying Club) we operate a small, friendly club, with a relaxed atmosphere, offering professional training. In December 2009 Coventry Airport went into liquidation and the airport closed. Almat Flying Club continued to trade until January 2010 when it too went into liquidation. In September 2010 the airfield was purchased by Sir Peter Rigby and reopened for training and all aviation services. We were invited back as a provider of flight training. After great consideration we agreed and formed Almat Aviation Ltd.

Services
The club offers flying training for a full JAR private pilot licence, UK National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL), Instrumental Meteorological Conditions (IMC) Rating, Multi Engine Piston (MEP) training and Night Rating.
